Phillies Update

Your 2008 Fightin' Phillies Take it to the Rays at Citizen's Bank Ball Park, Enjoy but Be Careful!!

A World Series championship is on the horizon and Philadelphia braces for what could potentially be its first major sports championship since 1983. Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Brad Lidge even big Joe Blanton are geared up and ready to clinch. Seeing Charlie Manual hoist up the Commissioner's trophy and a parade down Broad Street is every fan's dream. The World Series is the biggest of all prizes, it is the pinnacle of success for our great American past time. Now is certainly a time to celebrate Phillies glory as they conquer the American League Champion Tampa Bay Devil Rays as they have the rest of Major League Baseball.

But when celebrating please keep safety in mind, because enjoying a World Series win should and will be a wonderful experience but the rest of your life is still ahead of you. Celebrate responsibly, do not drink and drive, be aware of your surroundings and know that there is an increased possibility of negligent behavior such as motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall accidents that exist when the city erupts in this fashion.

This is our time Philadelphians, this is the end of the drought, your 2008 Philadelphia Phillies are the team to make it happen. So go to Citizen's Bank Ball Park, book your spot on Broad Street for the parade, cheer like you've never cheered before, and let's have an incredibly World Series experience in the city we all know deserves it!
