Car Accident Attorney Wins $280K Verdict for Seriously Injured Car Crash Victim Whose Car was T-Boned in a Restaurant Driveway, Causing Head, Neck, Back and Rib Injuries

A car accident lawyer has won a $280,925 jury verdict for a 60-year-old Massachusetts man who suffered serious head, neck, back and rib injuries in a 2013 car accident when his car was T-boned by another driver.

The victim, Kenneth Gilbert, of Connecticut, was hurt on May 1, 2013 when the side of his  car was struck by a car being driven by Victoria Pietrzak, who was turning left into the restaurant driveway where Gilbert was driving, according to a Dec. 5, 2018, story by Law.com.

The crash, which happened in Windsor Locks, Conn., resulted in both cars being totaled, the story reported. Pietrzak, who lives in New York, was given a warning by police for failure to grant the right of way. Gilbert filed a lawsuit in 2015 against the driver of the car that struck him.

Gilbert suffered painful injuries that continue to affect his upper right extremities and he has undergone a series of medical treatments, including steroid injections, to deal with his pain and injuries, according to the story.

After a four-day trial, Gilbert was awarded the verdict by a Hartford Superior Court jury.
